Genetic
engineering is not the same as the cross between breeds that has been practsed
for such a long time. Genetic alteration is the process of transferring
artificially specific information from a certain organism to another one.
Tomatoes, intentionelly delayed in their process of age by means of introducing
a fish gene in the genoma of the plant, have already been grown up. Once
the transgenetic products have been introduced in nature, the genetic pollution
reproduces, develops and spreads all over in an unpredictable and uncontrolled
way. It is a danger for
human health and for the ecological stability
of the planet
